Sunny's School Scarecrow Competition 2012
Therapy Focus, in partnership with Garden Week is delighted to offer schools an opportunity to take part in Sunny's School Scarecrow Competition.
Held as part of Garden Week 2012 the competition invites WA Primary Schools and Education Support Centres to create a scarecrow friend for Therapy Focus mascot Sunny the Sunflower. The inclusive classroom activity, which children of all abilities can take part in, encourages students to work collaboratively to plan and produce a unique scarecrow creation for display at Garden Week 2012.
The first 40 schools to return their Expression of Interest form will have their scarecrows displayed at Perry Lakes during Garden Week from the 19th of April until the 23rd April 2012.
Visitors to Garden Week will vote for their favourite scarecrow, with the major prize winner announced on stage on Sunday the 22nd.
The Winning School
Sunny the Sunflower and Great Gardens personality, Chris Ferreira, will visit the winning school to present two complete garden beds, conduct an installation, and host a presentation for students regarding sustainability, healthy eating and the benefits of growing your own fresh fruit and vegetables.
